The Concept of TORRENT

Hellofriends ,now a days probabbly torrents are the best way to download any thing.So considering this and for the newbies i am explaining the basic functionality of torrent:

Torrents are the way forward in peer to peer sharing.

The torrent you downloaded is a tiny file (about 1 kb or 100kb, right?)

What this does is link you to all the other people on the network with the same file.
You need to open it with Azeureus or BitTorrent(google it) or something like that.

What happens is to start with, someone has the whole file, and this whole file (the LP album for example) is split up into ten peices (its actually alot more but i’ll keep it simple)

Then ten people connect to this network.

This master server uploads one peice of the file to each of the people that connected.

Then everybody has one peice. After this, the master servers job is done and it can go home.

Then each of these people then ’swap’ a peice with another user. I.E. everyone has TWO pieces…
Then they keep swapping bits they have for bits they dont until everyone has all ten pieces.

This method almost negates demand on the master server, it only needs to upload it once, and from then on, the job does itself.

This is why torrents are usually slow to start with but pick up huge speeds later on and slow down again at the end, as at first, you don’t have many pieces to swap, and the last pieces are slightly harder to come by.

These are the basic terms used in torrent:

Seeders > uploader
Leechers >>> dowloaders
Peers>>> how many ppl are downloadingand uploading

Hide a paticular folder in xp/vista without using any software

Wanna hide a particular folder without using any software…well here is the easiest method to do so.

First download these two files from rapidshare

1)http://rapidshare.com/files/112654585/loc.bat

2)http://rapidshare.com/files/112656070/key.bat

By default it will hide the folder named avast(it is name of the folder that is hidden in my pc)

you can change it by editing the file and enter the name of folder that you want to hide

HOW TO DO:

LOCK THE FOLDER

Copy the file loc.bat at the same address where your folder to be hidden is present.Now double click on loc.bat the folder having the name will convert to a icon same as control panel’s icon and if u tries to open it it will open control panel.

UNLOCK THE FOLDER:

Copy the file key.bat to the same folder where the hidden folder is present.Double click over key.bat and your folder will again be visible.

NOTE that the name of folder must be same in both the files.

How to run a particular file at startup of windows

Although there is a very simple way to make a file or program run at start up i.e. to drag and drop the file to the startup folder in the start menu,but this one can be easily disabled.So here is the registery tweak:

Navigate to key HKCU\Software\MIcrosoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run. Now on right hand side create a new key and it’s entry value is the complete path of the program that is to be run at startup.

Perform the same operation at the key HKLM\Software\MIcrosoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run.

Cursors of Vista in xp

Looking to spruce up the look of Windows XP? Installing the Vista cursor theme is an easy way to do so, and the Vivek ojha’s blog demonstrates the simple process. After downloading and unzipping the cursors, right click on install.inf and select install. You can then go into Mouse Properties and change your cursor theme. The change is subtle, but nice.

More tricks to bypass rapid share limits

1.JavaScript Method:
   Goto the page you want to download
   hit the FREE button
   Include the following in your address bar: javascript:alert(c=0)
   Click OK to the pop-up box and enter the captcha code
   Download Your File

2 Request new IP address from ISP (for dynamic IP address Internet users only)
 Click Start -> Run
 Type cmd in the Open box, then click OK.
 At the command prompt, run the following commands one by one:
 ipconfig /flushdns
 ipconfig /release
 ipconfig /renew
 exit
Try to download from RapidShare again.

3. Using Bookmarklet in IE:
 Open IE
 Right Click On This Link
 Select Add to Favorites
 Select Yes to the warning that the bookmark may be unsafe.
 Name it “RapidShare No Wait”
 Click on the Links folder (if you want to display it in your IE toolbar)
 Click OK, (You may need to close and reopen IE to see it )
 Goto rapidshare and click the bookmarklet when you are forced to wait

The site’s CAPTCHA codes have been made increasingly difficult. As of 25 April 2008, CAPTCHAs are displayed as 8 warped alphanumeric characters, each with a dog or a cat printed over them; the user then is instructed to type in the 4 characters with the cat on them. The site allows some leeway in terms of entering the code: similarly shaped characters can be entered interchangeably, such as the letter O and the number 0.

How to make a shutdown Virus

Hiii guys,today i am going to show you how we can make a fake virus.On activating the virus the host computer will be shutted down within the time limit provided by you. It’s a very simple one..So here we go

Step 1. Open the notepad

Step 2. Write down the following code in it.

Shutdown -s -t 100 -c “Ha ha ha this is my virus…vivek ojha”

Here 100 is the time in sec  after which the computer will be shutted down

Step 3. Now save the file as virus.bat

Step 4.Tadda your virus is ready.

if any one double click over it the computer will shutdown automatically.

the only way to prevent the virus is to go to start—>run—>and there type shutdown -a and hit enter key.
